Midway 2016 Goals Recap

Okay, so we're a little way into the sixth month of the year, and do you know what that means? It's time for a midway recap of my goals for 2016. For the past couple of months, I've decided to do monthly goals (May and June) which, to be honest, I've highly preferred - I think it gives me a bit more of a push to get things done that a whole 12 months. I'm one of those people that puts things off for ages because I know it isn't due until a certain date, and in some ways I feel I have done that with my yearly goals. However, for my monthlys, I have managed to stay pretty much on track apart from the odd slip up of course.

Anyhoo, enough of the rambling, let's get into it:

Reading - My aim for this year was to read 40 books and I'm currently sitting on a total of 13 books which is 33% of my goal and (at this moment) 4 books behind according to my Goodreads. I'm not too worried about this one as I have been getting into reading a lot more recently, and as long as I'm consistently reading I'm not too fussed. It would be nice to reach my goal, but I'm not going to force myself to read book after book and completely exhaust myself to not want to read anymore. Totally not my plan!

Youtube - Well...I haven't done anything on this as of yet, and I'm not sure that I ever will this year. It's a shame, yes, but I just don't feel the time is right at the moment.

Drawing - I wanted to get back into my drawing, and I feel that I'm finally doing that, even if it's only been in the past month or so. As mentioned in My Life On Instagram post, since the beginning of June, I have been regularly drawing with the #dndchallenge with the prompts that they give you on what to draw. This has certainly been a life saver for me, as the thing I usually struggle with is knowing what to draw. I hope I can keep this up for June and for the rest of 2016.

Blogging - Now, blogging, this is the one thing that I am most proud of what I have done. I have pretty much been regularly blogging now for 6 months, since the beginning of the year, and I'm in love. I've got to a stage where I've got a pretty good stream of inspiration the majority of the time, and I'm finding some absolutely amazing blogs and people in the process. It's completely changed my life and the way I look at things; it's definitely so much more than writing a few words on a page! It's about inspiring others, spreading positivity, and expressing yourself, and I feel I've finally got into a really good rhythm and I'm amazed at my progress! Obviously, I've still got a long way to go, but I'm happy for now!

I'm not going to totally dismiss these goals for the rest of 2016 as they're always in the back of my mind, but I do want to mainly focus of my monthlys, as they seem to be what's keeping me motivated at the moment!

How're your 2016 goals going?
