New Beginnings

Now I'm sat in front of my laptop, fingers over the keys, not knowing what I want to write when I know exactly what I want to write. I'm not gonna lie, this has always been my problem when starting something "new" as I've always been afraid to just go for it - I put new in inverted commas because I'm not exactly new to the blogging scene, I'm just new to blogging without a niche.

I previously thought of myself as a book blogger, I ran a booktube channel on youtube, I had a book blog, and I therefore thought I'd found my thing to focus on. Little did I know that pigeonholing myself to books would limit me so much on my freedom of expression - I felt pressured to keep up with the book community, to constantly have new book related content and to have a tight reading schedule so I could post reviews on a regular basis. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love reading but I feel like I want to expand my creative expression beyond books, and this is where this new blog comes in.

I was actually inspired by my best friends blog, Kirsty Talks. Kirsty has now been blogging for over a year and I absolutely love reading every single one of her posts as she is quite plainly being herself in all of them. It's an absolute pleasure to read as she talks about everything from fashion, recipes to her life experiences. What makes every blogger great in their own way is that everyone is different, and although there may not be any particularly original content anymore, everyone is personal in the way that they portray what they have to say and their opinions.

Now I've got rough ideas of what I want to do and what I want to post, but you and I will both have to wait and see where this journey takes me as sometimes no plan is the best plan.
